🏭 How can we turn commercial buildings into grid interactive assets?  🏢 Courtney Blodgett, Co-Founder of Edo shares how they are accomplishing this on the latest episode of the Decarbonization Disruptors Podcast

Courtney and I had a great discussion where she shared how her passion for sustainability is based on her connection with the natural world.  We delved into Courtney's previous work in Sub Saharan Africa where she discovered the impact of real time energy consumption data that can help create energy and sustainability programs.  Courtney shared Edo's mission to enable a decarbonized grid through a building-centric approach that unlocks the ability of commercial buildings to become reliable grid assets.  They accomplish this mission by leveraging Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), an emerging technology given the increased demand of manufacturing, electrification and data center infrastructure.  We also discussed the potential for sustainability initiatives for the built environment, where 30% of carbon emissions come from building operations.
